A surfer has died after being bitten by a shark at Emerald Beach near Coffs Harbour today. The surfer, in his 30s, suffered a severe arm injury in the attack.

FIVE surf life saving clubs in North Coast Branch will throw their doors open to the public today. Coffs Harbour, Minnie Water-Wooli, Red Rock-Corindi, Sawtell and Woolgoolga will participate.
