Williams is being held at Albemarle District Jail under a $75,000 secured bond. He has been charged with offenses by Camden County Sheriff’s Office as well as North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The driver, identified as 23-year-old Versaun D. Williams, lost control of the vehicle as he approached the bridge into Elizabeth City and struck a guardrail.
