YORK, Pa. — A York shelter has been preparing for Thanksgiving for more than a week. LifePath Christian Ministries will host an estimated 1,100 people at a community meal.

MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (WSIL)---Central Christian Church in Mount Vernon is preparing for their Thanksgiving meal tomorrow. Steve Reynolds is a member of the church and the organizer of the event.

Ball said this is the most Thanksgiving meals the LifePath Christian Ministries' kitchen has ever given out. He said this reflects a growing trend of more people relying on food banks in York County.
