Tropical Storm Erin continues to track westward through the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Erin is the fifth named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season. Erin will move over open waters moving westerly and remaining north of the Caribbean Islands and Puerto Rico.

Forecasters say Erin will likely become a hurricane by late Thursday and a major hurricane by early Sunday, but it's still too early to determine what sort of impacts the storm could have, if any, on the U.
