The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 56-year-old Carver woman, was transported by Carver EMS to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth where she was pronounced dead.

EMS determined the driver suffered serious injuries, and a helicopter from Boston MedFlight was requested to fly the person to the hospital, the Carver Fire Department said in a statement.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 56-year-old Carver woman, was transported by Carver EMS personnel to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, where she was pronounced dead.

The Carver Fire Department is comprised of a chief, two deputies and 81 on-call members. The sense of pride in the department radiates not only from each member, but also throughout the entire town.

The town of Carver is extremely blessed to have such dedicated EMS department personnel. Every day we enter homes and treat residents knowing what the risk to ourselves and our own families may be.

Crews worked with Carver EMS to quickly stabilize the overturned vehicle and extract the driver using the Jaws of Life. The driver was transported to a local trauma center.
