In 2020, an interactive episode called Captain Underpants Epic Choice-o-Rama was released on Netflix. The episode involves Harold and George stopping Mr. Krupp from blowing up their beloved treehouse.

Fans of Captain Underpants will be pleased to see Harold and George appear in Dog Man, although their roles are brief. The two characters are seen sitting on a bench during the third act.

Viewed in a movie theater, "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie" is a much more immersive experience. The central characters are part of the cartoon, not distanced from it.
