NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Injured stars Zion Williamson and C.J. McCollum will not play again this season, the Pelicans announced in a press release Monday evening (March 31).

McCollum was diagnosed with a right foot bone contusion after sustaining the injury against the Detroit Pistons on March 23. Neither player has played since the injuries. Pelicans' coach Willie Green was asked last week if Williamson would possibly be shut down for the rest of the season.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum will miss the rest of the season because of injuries, the New Orleans Pelicans said Monday. Williamson sustained a low back bone contusion after a fall during a game on March 19 in Minnesota. The Pelicans said he will continue to get rest and treatment on the back.
