The U.S. car giant is recalling more than 300,000 vehicles due to a potential brake assist issue that can increase the risk of a crash.

In impacted vehicles, it was feared that the front brake lines may come into contact with the engine air cleaner outlet pipe, potentially damaging the lines and causing brake fluid to leak.

Sadly, Volkswagen also put other important bits like the brake fluid reservoir under there. That’s right, just to check your brake fluid level, you’ll need to go through all of this, too.
