A Lincoln County judge sentenced a former employee at Taft High School to 1.5 years in prison Tuesday for raping a student, the district attorney’s office said.

A health services advocate was sentenced after sexually abusing a Taft High student while employed by the Lincoln County School District.

Lincoln County School District superintendent Majalise Tolan said this new round of funding would be used to make repairs to buildings, upgrade security systems, and expand classrooms and labs.
