DELAVAN — While still disappointed the National Guard has left Delavan, the mayor said she's thrilled a Mahomet businessman has bought the local armory for use as a distribution center.

Both of the units were based at the National Guard armory at 5500 E. Valencia Road. The Bravo battery will be deactivated, while the Alpha battery has been converted into an infantry unit.

Voters have a choice among six candidates for four four-year terms on the Moline-Coal Valley School District in the April 5 election.
