The Bengals and Hamilton County officially have a short-term agreement as they work toward a new lease for Paycor Stadium. But there's still much we don't know about lease negotiations.
The Bengals are asking the city of Cincinnati to contribute 50% of any revenues derived from Paycor operations through admissions and payroll taxes to be used for stadium maintenance and repairs.
A sizeable chunk of the Brown family’s fortune has been built on the stadium deal. The franchise was valued at around $200 million when voters approved the stadium tax in 1996.
The stadium deal doesn’t have to be this difficult. But this is what the public needs to know: The Bengals truly believe the last stadium lease deal was a great deal – for all parties.
