The most basic business card templates allow you to enter your contact information, upload images, and order a batch of business cards containing both. That gives you a basic business card, too.

Save your custom template by clicking "File" and "Save As." Enter a filename in the "File Name" field. Click on the "Save as Type" down-arrow and select "Word Template (DOTX)" to save your template.

Format the template for your business cards by setting horizontal and vertical guide lines throughout the document to create card boxes. The size of a standard business card is 2 inches by 3.5 inches.
