A Baldwin Park police officer and another man were shot and killed, and another officer is recovering from gunshot wounds Monday, authorities said. The suspect, who was also struck by gunfire Saturday,

Authorities have identified the Baldwin Park police officer killed during a shootout with a rifle-wielding suspect Saturday night. The officer was one of two shot while responding to reports of an active shooter in a residential neighborhood.

There was a large law enforcement presence in the residential neighborhood in the area of Filhurst, Palm and Harlan avenues.
