So, this 1998 Pikachu Illustrator card ranks pretty high. Pokémon fan and eBay seller Tomoya Ohno is putting the starting bid for the card at $480,000. eBay.

A Nov. 2023 Goldin auction featured a rare illustrator card – a 1999 Pokémon Japanese Promo Corocoro Best Photo #1 Snap Bulbasaur – which was on the auction block for $51,000.

However, the card is notable for another reason – it’s the first time in over 20 years that a Pokemon card has featured artwork by an American artist outside of Illustration Contest cards.
