Bob and Ellen Thompson will extend their foundation's partnership with BGSU through their intent to give at least $121 million toward its Thompson Scholar program.

The scholarship was founded in 2014 by Bob and Ellen Thompson, BGSU alumni from the 1950s. It aims to alleviate the financial burden of tuition for students who are most in need.
