New trash rules went into effect Saturday morning. City residents who have trash cans with secured lids now cannot put their bins at the curb before 6 p.m.

The city of Abilene is still in recovery mode after a cyberattack from foreign hackers was discovered over six weeks ago, city officials said in a statement Monday.
