Allen County has a new flag.The Allen County commissioners Friday morning formally recognized the design unveiled at Tuesday’s bicentennial closing ceremony as the county’s new flag.

The Allen County commissioners are expected to approve the new flag during its 10 a.m. meeting April 4 at Citizens Square, 200 E. Berry St. Allen County does not currently have an official flag.

The funds are a 50/50 grant meaning that Allen County will have to match the $1.5 million dollars for repair drainage, resurfacing, and signal improvements. The vote passed unanimously.
