Dear Ramily, The Albany State University family is deeply saddened to learn of an incident that took place on campus at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Albany State is a historically Black university with about 6,000 undergraduate students. The school’s football team beat Morehouse, 52-6, in Saturday’s homecoming game, hours before the shooting.
