We focus our efforts on the refractive index and Abbe's number improvements ofpolyester films. First, we modify polymers by introducing sulphonyl and decreasing phenyl groups in the monomer structure.

We describe the principles, measurement techniques, error sources and uncertainty contribution of the measurement of the Abbe offset in the NRC Kibble balance.
