Richmond police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday morning. Officers were called to the 2200 block of North 23rd Street at around 3:19 a.m. for a report of a person shot.

An update at 5:30 p.m. said the street was still closed and Evergy crews were on site. Repairs were expected to be complete by 7:30 p.m.
