In the opening match of the five-match series of T-20, New Zealand beat Pakistan by nine wickets in Christchurch today (Sunday). Batting first, Pakistan scored 91 runs for all out in 18.4 overs. In reply, New Zealand achieved the victory target of 92 runs for the loss of one wicket in 10.1 overs.

Team Pakistan, playing without their star players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, were bowled out for a meagre 91 -- their lowest total playing in New Zealand and fifth-lowest in the shortest format of the game.
