St. John Vianney School won't reopen this fall, affecting students and staff as the Diocese prioritizes preserving Catholic education.

Bobby Acosta has resigned as St. John Vianney High School’s head football coach after just one season, the school announced in a press release Saturday afternoon.

St. John Vianney School in Orchard Park will not reopen in September for another academic year.

The Diocese of Buffalo has announced the closure of St. John Vianney School, located at 2950 Southwestern Boulevard in Orchard Park.

The possibility of merging the parishes and schools of St. John Vianney and Our Lady of Lourdes was discussed Sunday at a meeting at Our Lady of Lourdes school, Bettendorf.

Located at 2950 Southwestern Blvd., St. John Vianney School had its final day of the academic year on June 18. Parents, faculty, and staff members were notified on Monday.
