Phoenix chef wins James Beard culinary award

Yotaka Martin of Lom Wong in downtown Phoenix was awarded the "best chef" prize for the region representing Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Lom Wong is known for celebrating the cuisines and culture of Thailand and was named the best Thai restaurant by the Phoenix New Times last year.
