A new generation of mail trucks will replace an aging fleet of Long Life Vehicles in Erie, which received millions of dollars in USPS upgrades.

If the plan's approved, the Erie facility will become a package sorting facility, ending mail sorting. The USPS announced similar plans in 2011 and 2014. Both times, the plans were shelved.
