President Donald Trump will continue to push the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" as Senate Republicans try to meet Trump's Fourth of July deadline for passage. The Senate GOP discussed the megabill at its lunch Friday afternoon -- while they work to resolve a number of outstanding issues so they can work to get the bill on the floor this weekend.

The Senate crossed all of the lower chamber’s red lines in its revisions to the megabill. Trump plans to make House members pass it anyway.

Republican infighting defined a caustic debate that saw significant opposition to Medicaid cuts, which could define the 2026 midterm elections
