Typically after the Halloween-brand's flagship store has opened, locations around the U.S. begin to announce their open dates.

The retailer routinely occupies empty big-box stores for the holiday shopping season, temporarily leasing storefront space. This season, Spirit Halloween plans to take over former Joann stores across the state, including Appleton, Brookfield and Beaver Dam, and other closed stores, like Forever 21, Party City and Kohl's.

As the "largest Halloween retailer in North America," Spirit Halloween plans to open 30 pop-up stores across Colorado this autumn.
