I-70 was closed in both directions from exit 129 for Bair Ranch to exit 147 for Eagle for fire activity, state transportation officials said.

The unidentified driver was headed southbound on Federal Boulevard in a white Mercedes-Benz with license plate CLA250 when the crash happened, police said. The driver then fled the scene.
