Sir Keir Starmer today warned Vladimir Putin ‘the world is watching’ as he told global leaders the Russian leader will have to come to the negotiating table ‘sooner or later’.The prime minister told around 25 world leaders from the Cabinet table inside Number 10 that Volodymyr Zelensky had ‘shown once again that Ukraine is the party of peace’.

Sir Keir Starmer has said Vladimir Putin will “sooner or later” have to “come to the table” to talks about a ceasefire with Ukraine.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to sign up to a ceasefire in its war against Ukraine if he is “serious about peace” and said allies will “keep the pressure” on the Kremlin,
