Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have shown up at the French Open to participate in a ceremony honoring 14-time tournament champion Rafael Nadal.

Nadal, a 14-time Roland Garros champion whose record may never be surpassed, was honored by tennis rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.

Roger Federer said he was “not going to miss it” after returning to the French Open to honour his greatest rival, Rafael Nadal. The tournament got underway on Sunday, but the biggest story on the opening day was about a retired player who wasn’t even in the draw.
