Beatles fans were able to reunite Paul McCartney with his Höfner bass guitar that was stolen in 1972 and sold to a pub landlord, Ronald Guest.

On Wednesday, Paul McCartney shared a statement on his website, in which he confirmed he had been reunited with his legendary Höfner bass guitar, over 50 years after it was stolen from a van in 1972.

McCartney held on to the bass until October 1972, after The Beatles split, when tragedy struck and it was stolen from a van that was being used to transport instruments for his band, Wings.
