Two Nevada residents have been federally charged with conspiring to engage in voter fraud in Minnesota, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Friday.

In a motion filed Monday, June 16, Mitchell’s attorneys asked for the trial to be delayed after the assassination and attempted assassination of two Minnesota lawmakers over the weekend.

State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were killed, while state Sen. John Hoffman and wife Yvette were wounded in separate overnight shootings in Minnesota. A manhunt is underway.
