The state of Minnesota is entering another in a long string of summer days marred by air quality alerts. Poor air quality will continue through Saturday with lingering wildfire smoke from Canada.

Minneapolis is under an air quality alert due to wildfire smoke, with a forecast of smoke-filled skies and upcoming clear conditions.

Skies over much of Minnesota looked clearer and smelled cleaner Sunday as the most troublesome air from Canadian wildfires moved east into Wisconsin. On Sunday evening, state officials canceled what had been a record-long six-day air quality alert.
