Lake Fire initially started 3:58 p.m. June 28 in San Bernardino County, California. Since its discovery three days ago, it has burned 483 acres. As of Tuesday morning, the fire crew effectively contained 50% of the wildfire. Investigations into its cause are still ongoing.

On Sunday, the Wolf Fire broke out near Banning, quickly scorching over 800 acres, while the Mandalay Fire forced evacuation orders for dozens of homes in Riverside and the Mindy Fire engulfed dozens of acres in remote Riverside County near Aguanga.

The Lake fire broke out in Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area in San Bernardino County, burning more than 400 acres and prompting evacuations and road closures in the region.
