The Grosse Ile Parkway Bridge reopened June 30 after repairs finished early. The speed limit is now 25 mph with new traffic enforcement.

The Wayne County-owned Grosse Ile Parkway Bridge reopened Monday afternoon with a lower speed limit of 25 miles per hour after about a weeklong closure for planned repairs.

The Wayne County commissioners are enacting a $5 vehicle registration fee on top of state registration to help fund upkeep of the county's 36 bridges.
