While that's still more than a month away — assuming Apple sticks to its usual release schedule — we haven't been left completely in the dark about what the new phones will look like.

Based on information from German mobile providers, iPhone Ticker reports the iPhone 17 event will take place on Tuesday, September 9. It fits with Apple's usual September schedule. Last year's iPhone 16 'Glowtime' release was also on September 9, which was a Monday.

While still unconfirmed, the date tracks with Apple’s usual playbook. The tech giant typically holds its iPhone launch events in the second week of September, excluding 2020, which was disrupted by COVID.
