Hindustan Zinc posted a bigger-than-expected first-quarter profit on Friday, as strong demand for the metal helped cushion the impact of prices that were pressured by geopolitical uncertainties.

In the first quarter of FY26, Hindustan Zinc's revenue from operations was ₹7,771 crore, which includes ₹7,591 crore from revenue and ₹180 crore from other operating revenue. This compares to ₹8,130 crore in the first quarter of FY25,
