Harvard University may pay $500 million for job training programs to unfreeze over $2 billion in federal funds, ending a feud with the Trump administration.

The Trump administration on Friday launched an investigation into Harvard’s patents derived from federally funded research, threatening intellectual property potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The administration doubled down against Harvard, asserting that rising violent crime on campus meant the school should not host international students. It will also review the school’s patents.
