Meryl Streep, back in her celebrated role as the fashion editor, was recently photographed wearing a red gown with an asymmetrical silhouette as part of a Met Gala scene, and it's every bit as pure high-drama couture as we could hope.

Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci were spotted filming a 'Devil Wears Prada 2' Met Gala-style scene in New York City. The actress wore a red gown as she was filmed walking up and down the steps of the Museum of Natural History.

The highly-anticipated “Devil Wears Prada 2” will see Streep return as eternally aloof magazine queen Miranda Priestly, a character which has long been believed to be a stand-in for Vogue’s former editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. Anne Hathaway will reprise her original role, now playing a chicer, older and wiser version of journalist Andy Sachs.
