Eugenio Suárez matched his career high with his 49th homer, leading the AL West champion Seattle Mariners over the Colorado Rockies 6-2 on Thursday night for their 17th win in 18
Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh continued his historic season by launching his 60th home run against the Colorado Rockies.
The Mariners have officially clinched the first round bye for the 2025 postseason. The extra rest is a big break for the M's, who are still awaiting news on the severity of Bryan Woo's injury. Seattle will not have to play in the best-of-three Wild Card series. Instead, they will host Game 1 of the ALDS at T-Mobile Park.
Unfortunately, one more game comes against the Seattle Mariners. The Colorado Rockies have not had a good time in Seattle, watching the M’s clinch a playoff berth as well as a division title over the first two games.
Luckily for the Rockies, the Giants aren't having the best season either as they have also been eliminated from the playoff picture. San Francisco has only won one more game than Colorado in their last 11, and have just as many wins on their home field as they do when on the road.
