The unprecedented offer commenced Thursday at midnight EDT for theater auditoriums equipped with the director's format of choice.

The new season will be released in three parts, all around holiday weekends: Volume 1 on Nov. 26 (consisting of four episodes), Volume 2 on Christmas (three episodes) and The Finale on New Year’s Eve.

Tickets for Christopher Nolan's new movie, The Odyssey, went on sale over a year before release and sold out immediately.
