On Wednesday night, the Carolina Hurricanes showcased plenty of resilience in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final, but the Florida Panthers proved they're the far better team.

Since 2022, Verhaeghe has 12 game-winning goals in the playoffs and five this year, each astounding numbers. He has three career series-clinching goals, behind only Max Pacioretty and Artturi Lehkonen, who have four each, among all active players.

Brad Marchand put the Florida Panthers on his back, and was able to lift them to a 5-4 win against the Edmonton Oilers in double overtime of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final. Marchand scored two goals on the night and the series is now tied at one game apiece heading back to South Florida.
