Yolo prosecutor describes Carlos Dominguez’s ‘ambush’ attacks that killed 2, injured a third in Davis stabbing spree.

The almost week-long crime spree gripped the college town of Davis with fear until police arrested Carlos Reales Dominguez in connection. Businesses closed early, UC Davis temporarily switched classes into an online format and a student rideshare program expanded its services to reduce the likelihood of people being alone at night.

Carlos Reales Dominguez, the man accused of 2023 serial stabbings in Davis, will return to the witness stand on Tuesday to continue testifying on his life, trauma and perspective on the attacks. The former UC Davis student is accused of fatally stabbing two men and seriously wounding a woman in an almost week-long crime spree that led the college town that is home to UC Davis to close businesses early and switch evening classes into a virtual format until an arrest was made.
