Byron Black's implanted defibrillator did not shock him during his lethal injection by the state of Tennessee Aug. 5, according to his attorney who said she evaluated data from the medical device.

Tennessee death row inmate Byron Black's defibrillator did not cause any direct complications during his execution this week, his attorney said.

After the execution of Byron Black on Aug. 5, witnesses are slated to speak at a news conference outside the prison.
