Browns cornerback Denzel Ward thinks he and his teammates can be the NFL’s best this season. Ward said that after the Browns’ defense had a down year in 2024, they believe they’re going to be the top defense in football in 2025.

BEREA, Ohio — It’s not easy for defensive backs to win Defensive Player of the Year, but it just happened last season and Browns cornerback Denzel Ward thinks it can happen for him.

The Browns have added some depth for their defensive line. According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Cleveland has claimed K.J. Henry off of waivers. Henry, 26, has appeared in 14 career games with three starts for Washington, Cincinnati, and Dallas. He has 2.5 career sacks with five tackles for loss.

While the idea of the Browns making the Super Bowl may sound far-fetched on its surface, they are just one season removed from going 11-6 and reaching the playoffs during the 2023 campaign.
