A woman is dead and five men are hurt after a shooting late Sunday night amid a large gathering at Minneapolis' Boom Island Park, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

The nighttime violence at the popular Mississippi River park is the second burst of gun violence in the city in recent weeks. Mayor Jacob Frey said on social media the city must “keep incidents like this rare.

Investigators were back out at Boom Island Park seeking more evidence after last Sunday's shootings left a woman dead and five others injured. The area is now under increased security. FOX 9's Karen Scullin has the story.
