Ben Barnes addresses fan casting rumors for Sirius Black in HBO’s Harry Potter reboot but avoids direct confirmation.

Barnes, now 43, is too old to play Sirius Black during the character’s school years if a prequel ever happened. But now he’s the right age to play adult Sirius Black.

Sirius Black, previously played by Gary Oldman, is said to be potentially filled by English actor Ben Barnes, best known for The Chronicles of Narnia movies and Netflix series Shadow and Bone.
