Phyllis Campbell said she has lived in her home just down the road from Austin Powder's Red Diamond Plant in Vinton County, Ohio for 23 years. She said this morning members from the Sheriffs Office alerted her she would need to evacuate due to a leak at the plant only a few minutes from her home.

A nitric acid leak at the Austin Powder Plant in McArthur, Ohio, released 3,000 gallons of toxic gas, prompting evacuations in nearby Zaleski. An orange plume formed, leading to road closures and a no-fly zone.
