A boat collision with a whale off the Jersey Shore left the 20-foot-long animal dead and sent a passenger overboard. The person is believed to be OK following the incident.

Meanwhile, MMSC is advising boaters to keep a minimum of 150 feet away from the whale carcass. The woman who was thrown from the boat was not hurt. ABC News contributed to this report.
