Women’s ideas, concerns, suggestions, pain points, even disgruntlement have prompted the institution of the church to shift how things are done, to create new programs, to change policies.

The unofficial holiday falls on Feb. 13, the day before Valentine's, and specifically encourages women to get together with their female friends and honor the power of female friendship.
