With his Wolverine days seemingly behind him, Jackman recently mused about his time as the metal-clawed mutant. He called it “the role of a lifetime” during this year’s celebration of X-Men Day.

“The real Wolverine is a character I’ve lived with and loved for 30-some years. These characters we love, we can sort of poke fun at them.

Sci-fi blog io9 has unearthed a comic book page featuring Wolverine and Queen frontman Freddie Mercury drawn by an unknown artist as a submission to Marvel Comics at some point in the Nineties.
